Originally from Western Europe, it thrives during warm season in temperate climates, although it can withstand extreme cold conditions, lack of water and an alkaline pH very well. This is probably why such a useful essential oil is extracted from it. Very rich in bisabolol, it has an exceptionally soothing and softening effect on skin, providing great relief to the area where it is applied.
This plant has been traditionally used for its anti-inflammatory, soothing and decongestive properties. It is also very effective for itch relief.
